Privacy policy
The library is run jointly by Poteris and Small Axe, who are joint controllers of the information described here. It is in beta, which means we are still working out what is useful — and that is the reason we record as much as we do.
What we record
Your name and email address when you create an account. What you search for, the conversations you have with the guide, and the resources you open, save and contribute. A replay of how you move around the site — what you click, scroll past and open — though anything you type into a box is hidden. Technical information that arrives with any web request, such as your IP address and browser.
Why
To understand what works and what doesn’t, so the library gets better. We may contact you about your experience. We will never use your data to train AI models, and we will never sell it. We may share anonymised, aggregated findings — counts and patterns that cannot be traced back to you — with trusted partners working on the same problem.
Who else handles it
We use other companies to run the library and to do our own work. They act on our instructions, and each sees only what its job requires.

Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. You can also ask us to remove your personal data: email [email protected] and we will delete it and respond within a month. What remains after that is anonymous, with nothing connecting it to you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
How long we keep it
We keep the information described here for up to one year. Your account, and the activity linked to it, stay while your account exists.
